  1. A ‘true enough’ quote….but a quote into which one can read subjective ‘complications’:

    “A bad book is as much a labor to write as a good one; it comes as sincerely from the author’s soul.” –Aldous Huxley

    Or we could simply say, if the reader thinks a book is good, it’s good. Hard to argue with that, without sounding ‘elitist’ (an appellation which is also in the eye of the beholder).
